| website = | country = Yemen}} The General People's Congress ((アラビア語:المؤتمر الشعبي العام), GPC; transliterated: ''Al-Mo'tamar Ash-Sha'abiy Al-'Aam'') is a political party in Yemen. It was founded on 24 August 1982 in Sana'a, Yemen, by President Ali Abdullah Saleh.〔 The party is dominated by a nationalist line, and its official ideology is Arab nationalism, seeking Arab unity. The number of parliamentary seats belonging the party in 1993 and 1997 terms were 123 and 187, respectively.〔 In the general elections held on 27 April 1997, two women candidates of the party won seats. In the 2003 legislative election, the party won 58.0% of the popular vote and 238 out of 301 seats in the Assembly of Representatives of Yemen. In the 2012 presidential election, the party supported the presidential candidacy of Abd Rabbuh Mansur Al-Hadi.
